Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim is pleased to announce the registration for the upcoming 1^st QASSIM PRIMARY PCI SUMMIT is ongoing. This summit will be held this coming 5-6 March 2014 to be held Movenpick Hotel, Buraidah Al Qassim. The forum is entitled " Exchanging Experiences and Promoting Research to Combat Heart Attack."

This was announced  by  Head of the Department of Education, Training, and Research. He further stated that this forum will be a first of its kind in the field of Cardiology practice in the Kingdom. He hopes that the forum will entice cardiologists and other cardiac specialty staff both from within the Kingdom and also from neighboring countries. These specialists are encouraged to participate in exchanging their current practice and ongoing medical research related to the use of cardiac catheterization in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction and myocarditis. The forum will also feature a case review of the number of cardiac catheterization procedures that PSCCQ has performed and the cardiac cases involved. This is in light of the fact that PSCCQ is essentially a cardiac center specializing in cardiac conditions.    

The forum will also include a discussion on a possible standardized protocol among hospitals regarding the treatment and medical transport of emergency cardiac cases to specialty centers like PSCCQ where patients can receive necessary treatment as soon as possible in an efficient manner.

This forum was designed and developed in partnership with the Saudi Heart Association and the Saudi Arabia Cardiac Interventional Society. It is accredited for 12 CME hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
