Prince Sultan Cardiac Surgery in Qassim has launched an awareness on the importance of Folic Acid especially for women who are pregnant. This comes after a study carried out by the Center for Medicine and the Prince Sultan Cardiac Surgery Qassim that less than 4% of Saudi women are taking folic acid before pregnancy. Folic Acid plays a very important role in pregnant women where studies have shown that taking folic acid before pregnancy reduces birth defects by 70% by the will of God.
The Director General of Health Affairs in Qassim Dr. Mohammed Bin Salah Al-Kharaz has imposed that clinics and hospitals in the region provide basic examination and infusing folic acid in the daily nutrition most especially for pregnant women. |
