In behalf of the General Director of Health Affairs in Qassim region, Dr. Salah Bin Mohammed Kharaz, Prince Sultan Cardiac Center – Qassim Director, Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Mesned, honored the medical team who recently performed the arterial switch operation to the heart of a neonate, who was not even ten days old at the time of the surgery, which has culminated in success.
In his speech during the ceremony, Dr. Al Mesned conveyed the gratitude and appreciation Dr. Kharaz felt for the medical team who performed the operation. He expressed his praise of what has been a remarkable achievement accomplished by the medical team for PSCCQ's reputation which in turn benefits the health sector in the Qassim region.
Dr. Al Mesned personally expressed his great pride in the sincere efforts of those involved operation which has resulted in its success. It is to be noted that the said procedure is one of the most complex and dangerous operations performed to the hearts of children. Dr. Al Mesned also said thanks to all the members of the medical team; he praised the teamwork among the different departments which had a great impact on the success of the operation.
For his part, the child's father, Mr. Saleh Bin Hamad Al-Harbi, honored the employees of the center by providing a plaque of appreciation to the PSCCQ healthcare team on this occasion, which is certainly a joyous one for him and his family. Mr. Al-Harbi also presented a plaque of thanks and appreciation to PSCCQ director Dr. Abdurrahman Al Mesned, to the Chief of cardiac surgery department, Dr. Mohammad Tajuddin Mustapha and to the Director of Media and Public Relations at Center, Mr. Mansour Alfraidy for their efforts in helping his son's health condition. At the end of his speech, Mr. Al-Harbi once again he expressed his appreciation to the staff at the center especially the surgical team for the excellent health care his son received since his birth until he was discharged in good health from the center.
At the conclusion of the program, Dr. Al Mesned handed out certificates of appreciation which were signed by the General Director of Health Affairs in Qassim region to departments which had contributed to the success of the operation. Dr. Al Mesned also gave a gift from the General Director of Health Affairs in Al-Qassim region Mr. Al Harbi including the blessing and congratulations to the father and his family for the successful operation.
The honoring ceremony was attended by financial and administrative assistant at the center Mr. Abdullah Al Fouzan, medical director at the center Dr. Tariq Soomro, and some of chiefs of various administrative and medical departments at the center.
