The medical team at Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Qassim, in the pediatric department, successfully performed an urgent medical intervention to save the life of a newborn baby. The intervention took place on the second day after the baby's birth, with a weight of 3 kilograms. The medical team conducted a diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedure by dilating the pulmonary valve using balloon angioplasty, which lasted approximately 45 minutes. The process of admitting the case, diagnosis, and intervention took around 12 hours from the moment the baby was admitted from outside the region. After ensuring the baby's condition and the stability of his health, he left the center.
