The surgical team of Prince Sultan
Cardiac Center in Al-Qassim saved the life of a young man by conducting a very
risky open heart surgery. It was known that the patient suffered from stunning
chest pain with severe fatigue and pallor accompanied by a drop in arterial
pressure, wherein he has helpfully revived with medications that support the
heart muscle. After conducting an urgent examination and diagnosis, the
attending doctors decided to transfer him immediately to the
operating room to perform the much needed, lifesaving, and high risk open heart
surgery. This kind of operation is considered to be one of the largest and most
dangerous open heart surgeries that should battle its accompanying complexities
and should take control of its accuracy in order to make the operation
successful.
The operation turned into a great and
satisfying success knowing how complicated the patient's case was and
considering that the doctors gave all their best to save the young man's life.
The doctors disclosed that there was a blood pool around the patient's heart
which triggered the rupture of the enlarged and dissected aorta. Therefore, the
medical intervention was carried out to replace the aortic valve and re-implant
the coronary arteries, feeding the heart muscle with an artificial artery. Upon
the stability of the patient's condition, he was discharged from the center in
his excellent health state and return home to live his life back to its
normalcy. The center's surgical team said that this kind of operation must be
performed in the highest specialized cardiac centers in the world, housed with
special high-end equipment capable and distinguished surgical experts that are
readily available. With all praises and glory to the Almighty Allah, PSCCQ is
one of those centers that are highly equipped with able medical professionals
and advanced medical equipment that allows them to perform high risk
operations.
It is worth sharing that Prince
Sultan Cardiac Center in Al-Qassim has incurred a total of 43 open heart
surgeries for adults during the first quarter of this year, 2022. The center
along with its medical professionals assured their patients to serve them with
the best of their capabilities and to live up and uphold to the center's
pursuit for excellent medical service.
