The medical team from Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Al-Qassim successfully performed micro catheterization for a five-day old newborn baby, approximately weighing 3 kilograms. The said procedure was conducted through the use of curative catheters. The doctors succeeded in expanding the valve by means of cardiac catheter. They successfully saved the newborn who was suffering from severe cyanosis caused by severe stenosis.  The pulmonary artery valve exits the heart and supplies the lungs with blood to complete the oxygenation process.

The PSCCQ management disclosed that conducting the operation of relative cases in the early stages of a child’s life, plays a fundamental role in the effectiveness of the treatment, as well as to achieve the child back to its normal life.  The procedure should be as prompt as possible because every single day that the operation is delayed, causes negative effects on the child’s future life and health and even increases the complexity of the situation, making it worse and complicated.

May Allah ceaselessly bless every patient who’s suffering from various illnesses and heal them all. May He also guide every staff of the center to carry out their duties and responsibilities in the best way they can.
