PSCCQ successfully holds symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension

The Department of Education, Training, and Research of PSCCQ successfully concluded its Regional Pulmonary Hypertension Update: What is new in 2018.

During this event, 10 scientific lectures were discussed in details, including all the aspects of the disease, from conversion to suspicion and clinical cases were thoroughly discussed by Dr. Mohd Saied.

Dr. Mohammed Saied shared his thoughts and knowledge on the general program of the Pulmonary Hypertension at Al Qassim Province He also discussed the role of diagnostic methods and treatment as well as medical cases that have been treated and the ways on how to deal with these cases.

Consequently, Dr. Saeed also explained that this pulmonary hypertension program in Qassim which was inaugurated in the year 1435 (Hijri) was objectively to treat the initial pulmonary hypertension, known to be a rare disease that needs to be tested and therefore should be treated with advanced medicines.

Moreover, he elaborated that from its start, the pulmonary clinic has so far received more than 500 cases in which  45 of that cases were permanently attended in the clinic. Dr. Saied also discussed how PSCCQ dealt with the patients and the treatments they have made in helping the patients cope with the symptoms.

Furthermore, Dr. Saied never failed to mention the effective role played by the PSCCQ Administration, led by the Center Director Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mesned for supporting the program.

Another lecturer, Dr. Zafa Mohammad Kheir Ahmed Mohammed, Senior Specialist Cardiologist at PSCCQ talked about Clinical Presentation of Pulmonary Hypertension Examination and Clinical Findings. She had a deliberate and thorough discussion on this topic and inculcated enough things that the audience should know and learn.

Dr. Hussam Saied Sakijjha, Consultant, Pulmonary Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine King Fahd medical City discussed Pulmonary Hypertension: what is new in 2018.

Moreover, Dr. Saied proudly says that the Department of Education, Training, and Research is seeking to carry out a day of awareness of Pulmonary Hypertension in the various hospitals of Al Qassim. This program will surely be of great help in raising the awareness of the people in the community.

This event is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for (8) CME hours and it is attended by more than 50 participants from various hospitals in Qassim Region.
