PSCCQ'S Department of Education, Training, and Research organizes 6th Basic Echocardiography Course

The Department of Education, Training, and Research of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim organized the 6th Basic Echocardiography Course. This two-day activity served as an educational and informative training course for the basics of the heart and Doppler ultrasound.

According to Dr. Mohammed Saeed, Head of Non-invasive Cardiology Department, there were at least 40 participants from the medical field in both public and private health sector who join the said event. He further said that this activity was duly accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for 11 CME hours. Thus, the activity had included 14 scientific lectures presented and discussed by a group of experts, and consultants from PSCCQ. They gave important lectures and facts on the latest developments on heart imaging. Moreover, 5 workshops were included in the course wherein which the participants were practically trained on this important medical procedure in the field of diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

Accordingly, Dr. Saeed also revealed that this session will be a prelude to other related courses with the same specialization. Furthermore, he extended his thanks and appreciation to the whole PSCCQ especially the Department of Education, Training, and Research for all their efforts in coming up with such a very successful event. He also looks forward to another similar event in the years to come in order for the center to literally prove and realize its desired objective and mission of rendering quality service to patients with heart disease not only within the area of Qassim but also patients from outside the region.
