PSCCQ HOLDS REGIONAL CARDIOLOGY MEETING

The Department of Education, Training and Research of PSCCQ has successfully concluded the Regional Cardiology Meeting (Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension Update) last Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Golden Tulip Hotel. With more than 80 participants from various health sectors in the Qassim Region were in attendance.

The activity was initially filled with a topic regarding Pulmonary Hypertension at Al Qassim Province. Dr. Mohammed Saied, PSCCQ Consultant Cardiologist and Head of Non-invasive Cardiology Department reported and stated factual data and statistics on cases of pulmonary hypertension in the said province.

Meanwhile, the Consultant Pulmonologist and Head of Saudi Association of Pulmonary Hypertension, Dr. Majdy Idris gave a considerable overview and explanation of Pulmonary Hypertension 2016 as well as its corresponding definition and classification. The participants were likely grasping into a more understandable insight about this case because it was thoroughly discussed by Dr. Majdy Idris..

As the program continues, Dr. Mohammed Saied shared his surmounting knowledge about Echocardiography and other Modalities of Diagnosis in Pulmonary Hypertension. It was indeed an additional learning for the participants

Moreover, Dr. Majdy Idris spoke on Acute Pulmonary Embolism to Chronic Thromboembolic Hypertension. This discussion has been of much help to the attendees since the idea regarding this specific case was extensively discussed and it was informative, educative and practically relative to their nature of work.

Furthermore, Dr. Idris returned to talk about Management of Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH), Medication, Surgical and Ballooning Intervention. This topic was reported with the desire of inculcating the minds of the participants with helpful knowledge and ideas about this case.

Lastly, Dr. Mohammed Saied ended the event with his closing ceremony. He also expressed his warm congratulations to everyone for the successful turnout of the meeting and never failed to thank those who have been a part in making the event possible. Hopefully, he was also looking forward to another similar event in the future.
