This particular task was initiated and launched on January 2012, in collaboration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

The SCHS committee was represented by Dr. Khalid Al Johani, Head of Community Nursing Dept and Vice-Dean for Development & Quality Faculty of Nursing, Ministry of Education and Ms. Bushra Al Hunidi, Education Coordinator, Magnet program- SCFHS Nursing Board. They were warmly met by Dr. Khalid Hosis, PSCCQ's adviser for Nursing Service Department Ms. Kahkashan Sana, PSCCQ's Nursing Director; Ms. Cindy Vargas, Diploma Coordinator; Ms. Maria Rosario Labiste, Education Coordinator. Dr. Al Hosis informed the visiting committee about the coveted success of several training programs the center had organized and likewise, he also presented the future plans of the education, research and training center. More remarkably, he emphasized that they will continue to offer, organize and hold similar programs that will cater the welfare of the majority.

After the meeting the SCHS committee proceeded to the skills laboratory which is fully equipped with all required resources for the training. Then they took an ocular tour to each department (OPD, CCU, Echo Dept., CSICU, Cardio Ward, CSU and CCL).

The SCHS committee gave their decision of granting PSCCQ another year of approved accreditation as training center for the diploma of cardiovascular nursing diploma program.
