PSCCQ successfully concluded Regional Cardiology Meeting

PSCCQ Department of Education, Training and Research hold its 3rd Regional Cardiology Meeting “Heart Failure in 2016” last June 10, 2016 at Movenpick Hotel.

Dr. Hassan Hamed Mohamed Khalaf, the Consultant Adult Interventional Cardiologist and Head of Education, Training and Research of PSCCQ, gave his opening remarks and likewise headed on with the Introduction and preview of the entire activity. Moreover, he discussed on Heart Failure Models which are definitely of importance in the assessment of patient's risk.

The Consultant Cardiologist of King Fahad Cardiac Center, Dr. Waleed Abdullah Al Habeeb, relatively shared his insights on an Update in Heart Failure Management. This is definitely helpful in improving the quality of life of patients with chronic heart failure and will also reduce chances of hospital admissions. 

Consequently, Dr. Mehboob Ali Dar, Head of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory of PSCCQ, handed down his lectures about Device Therapy in Patients with Heart Failure. There must be a need to delve further on device therapy that best suits to treat the patient in which its efficacy is really worth all the efforts and money spent.

Another important topic regarding Advanced Heart Failure: What is the Definitive Solution was lectured by the returning speaker, Dr. Waleed Al Habeeb. He emphasized that we should be knowledgeable enough on this matter so we could prevent patients with heart failure to worsen their situation.

After such a very substantial lectures gained during the entire activity, Dr. Tariq Soomro ended the activity with his closing remarks. In behalf of PSCCQ, he extended his thanks and appreciation to all the organizers and the speakers as well. After which, he awarded them with plaques of appreciation to convey their gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by the speakers. The entirety of the said event was indeed worthy, fruitful and successful.
