PSCCQ successfully concluded the Regional Cardiology Meeting entitled "Hypertension- Spotlight"

The Regional Cardiology meeting organized by the Education, Training and Research Department of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Al Qassim has successfully concluded yesterday, April 9, 2016 at Al Massa Hall of Movenpick Hotel Buraidah.

The Regional Cardiology Meeting on "Hypertension-Spotlights was deemed a success. Seventy (70) medical professional (Doctors, Technician and Nurses) participated from various hospital in Qassim Region.   The Head of Education, Training and Research Department, Dr. Hassan Khalaf officially opened the program; also he welcomed the speakers and participants. This activity was objectively aimed to inculcate to the minds of the attendees how important it is to be aware of the facts about hypertension and supply them with much knowledge about it.

Thus, the lecture was initiated by Dr. Mohamed Elsayed Mahmoud Owid, the Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Solaiman, Al Rajhi Colleges. He gave a thorough discussion on The Global Burden of Hypertension.

Dr. El Gambi E. Mohammed, the Consultant Neurologist of King Fahad Specialist Hospital stood as the second speaker and he talked about the Optimal Blood Pressure Target from Neurological Point of View. An Update in the Guidelines from The Treatment of Hypertension and The Story of Renal Denervation in Hypertension (Up and Down.) was given by Dr. Hasan Hamed Mohamed Khalaf, the Consultant Adult Interventional Cardiologist Head of Education, Training and Research of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim.

Dr. Rahim Gul, PSCCQ's Consultant Adult Interventional Cardiologist Head of Coronary Care Unit discussed on Pathophysiology of Hypertension and moreover lectured on Resistant Hypertension: An Insight from Resistant Hypertension Clinic in PSCCQ.

This activity is part of the program launched by the Education, Training and Research Department of PSCCQ and is likewise accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for Five (5) CME hours.
