The Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim successfully launched the 30^th awareness campaign of prevention of heart diseases "Your Heart, Your Life, Protect Young Heart." in cooperation with the Development Center and the neighborhood of the Association of King Abdulazis Charity in Qassim region.

 Dr. Magda gave a very inspiring and motivational lecture based on the given slogan and it was well-attended and participated in by a number of students, teachers, 15 girls from Buraidah and 30 participants from the center. To spice up the campaign, aside from the theories and lessons given, it was sufficiently supported by a workshop for practical applications.

Thus, after the lecture, participants headed on to a series of various workshops in order to expose them to the actuality of the lessons being imparted to them. They were taught on how to measure height, weight, blood pressure and determine sugar percentage in the body. Likewise, workshops regarding nutrition, how to fight obesity as well as anti-smoking and cardiopulmonary resuscitation were facilitated by certain educated health workers. They also explained the importance and functions of each given workshop. Right after, brochures that offer awareness on the possible causes of diseases and prevention of cardiovascular diseases were distributed to all the attendees.

The Director of Health Education Department and the  Executive Director of the awareness campaign, Ms. Mariam Al Harbi pointed out that 135 out of 185 mentors who attended have gone through the medical examination resulting to the extended time of stay inside the school.
