PSCCQ successfully concluded its 2nd Transthoracic Echo Course

The Department of Education, Training and research of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Al Qassim, has successfully concluded its 2nd Basic Transthoracic Echocardiography Course held last 30 March 2015 – 2 April 2015. Dr. Yassir Birema, Course coordinator formally opened the 4-days course.  The target audience are the cardiologist, ER Physician, Internal Medicine Physician.
 
Dr. Berima welcome the participants and emphasized how the course is unique because PSCCQ is the only center that offers this kind of specialized course in Qassim Region. He also expressed that this course is more focused on the practical application more than theoretically. In this particular course 2 hours will be theory and 6 hours will be the practical. Dr. Berima highlight also the significance of Echo in decision making for the patient management which is the main objective of the course to make the physician acquainted with the images taken by the Echo Machine. This would likewise help them for the  early diagnosis of any abnormalities and provide the best possible therapeutic intervention at the earliest time possible.
The participants of this course will be evaluated on a daily basis to know their progression and at the end of course practical examination will be given to ensure that all candidate have gain the objective of this course.    
 
This  course is credited for 12 CME hours  by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
