A committee from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties paid a visit to the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Qassim for three main reason for re-accreditation of the Saudi Fellowship Program which is running now in the center, the accreditation of Non-invasive Cardiovascular Program and the accreditation of the Department of Education, Training and Research as a research center in the Qassim Region.
The committee, which was represented by Dr. Saeed Alahmari, Dr. Mohammad Alghamdi together with Mr. Abdullah Al Fouzan, Deputy center Director had a meeting today. The deputy director informed them about the success of the Saudi Fellowship and other programs that the center had successfully launched and discussed with them about the future plan. PSCCQ is thankful to have been awarded by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialty for the Re-accreditation of Saudi Fellowship Program, Accreditation of the Non- invasive Cardiovascular Program and official recognition of the Department of Education , Training and Research of PSCCQ as the research center in Qassim Region. The relationship does not stop with the initial accreditation. PSCCQ continues to work with these high achieving organization to achieved and maintain accreditation, keep up to date with the new standards and offer guidance on the continues expectation of performance improvement that SCHS accreditation promotes.
The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties took an ocular tour to the Training Center where they were shown the classroom, stations, and equipment used for hands-on training and simulation in nursing education as a teaching modality. Then they moved to the intensive Care Unit, then to some departments at the center.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Center Director Mr. Abdullah Al Fouzan, deputy Center Director, Dr. Hassan Khalaf, head of Education, Training and Research, Dr. Mohammad Saied, head of the Non-invasive Cardiovascular Dept and Dr. Rahim Gul, Director of Saudi Fellowship Program.
