Department of Adult Cardiac Surgery offers a state-of-the-art service in surgical treatment of disorders affecting the heart, aorta and great vessels in adult patients. Advanced techniques in coronary re-vascularization are performed by cardiothoracic surgeons. These include traditional Open-Heart Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) Surgery, Minimal Invasive Coronary Bypass Surgery, Complete Arterial Re-Vascularization, and all types of valve replacements and repair. Furthermore, the technique of endoscopic vein harvesting, which allows the patient to move freely after the coronary bypass surgery, is also performed in our OR. Beating Heart Surgery is also performed in selected patients. This technique, which entails doing bypass grafting without using the heart-lung machine, reduces the risk of stroke and complications postoperatively.
