Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Al-Qassim obtained programmatic accreditation from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Al-Qassim has obtained programmatic accreditation from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Along with this, the center received a Certificate of Institutional and Program Accreditation handed over by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. The said honor was gained after the members of the committee visited the center last October 20, 2019. The center qualifying met the standards of a good medical institution. This accreditation is a new achievement the center has achieved in the field of Training, Education and Research. It is reported that the center was previously accredited as a training center for each of the following programs:

Saudi Fellowship Program in the field of Adult Cardiology

Saudi Fellowship Program in the field of Pediatric Cardiology

Saudi Fellowship Program in the field of open Cardiac Anesthesia

Saudi Cardiac Nursing Diploma Program

Non- invasive Cardiovascular Program

Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mesnid stated that this recognition is the culmination of the efforts initiated by the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Qassim and the work developed in the field of education and training according to the vision that PSCCQ has set to become a leader in education and training. Dr. Al Mesnid also added that this accreditation will contribute to the growth in the field of cardiology specifically in the Qassim Region and Saudi Arabia in general, as it helps to ease the involvement of doctors in the training program without having to look for other centers offering a fellowship program like this outside the region.
