Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Al-Qassim has obtained programmatic accreditation from the Saudi Commission for
Health Specialties.
Along with this, the center received a Certificate
of Institutional and Program Accreditation handed over by the Saudi
Commission for Health Specialties. The said honor was gained after the
members of the committee visited the center last October 20, 2019. The center
qualifying met the standards of a good medical institution. This
accreditation is a new achievement the center has achieved in the field of Training,
Education and Research. It is reported that the center was previously
accredited as a training center for each of the following programs:
Saudi Fellowship Program in the field of Adult
Cardiology
Saudi Fellowship Program in the field of Pediatric
Cardiology
Saudi Fellowship Program in the field of open
Cardiac Anesthesia
Saudi Cardiac Nursing Diploma Program
Non- invasive Cardiovascular Program
Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mesnid stated that this
recognition is the culmination of the efforts initiated by the Prince Sultan
Cardiac Center in Qassim and the work developed in the field of education and
training according to the vision that PSCCQ has set to become a leader in
education and training. Dr. Al Mesnid also added that this accreditation will
contribute to the growth in the field of cardiology specifically in the
Qassim Region and Saudi Arabia in general, as it helps to ease the
involvement of doctors in the training program without having to look for
other centers offering a fellowship program like this outside the region.
