The Department of Education,
Training, and Research of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim conducted the
Regional Cardiology Meeting focusing on Pulmonary Hypertension Update: What’s
New in 2019? This was held on December 6, 2019 at the Movenpick Hotel. The
said gathering was participated by more than 100 medical practitioners from Qassim
Region and Hail Province.
This
activity was approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for 5 CME Hours.
Dr. Mohammed Saied,
Consultant Adult Cardiology and Head of PSCCQ’s Department of Education,
Training, and Research, facilitated the First Session of the activity.
Likewise, he gave an introductory preview of the program’s entirety. He also
warmly welcomed and acknowledged the presence of the participating guests.
Furthermore, Dr. Saied discussed the updated presentation of Pulmonary
Hypertension in Al-Qassim Region from 1435-1441.
On the other hand, the Consultant of Pulmonary Critical Care at
King Fah’d Medical City Riyadh, Dr. Hussam Mohammad widely elaborated
Pulmonary Hypertension, its Definition, Classification and Histopathology:
What’s New in 2019. He clearly explained the totality of this
particular case and made sure everyone will grasp the important medical
knowledge he was imparting.
As the program resumed, Dr. Safa Mohammed Kheir Ahmed
Mohhamad, PSCCQ’s Senior Specialist in Adult Cardiology talked about the
Clinical Presentation and Examination and how is it different from other
diseases.
In addition, Dr. Mohammed Saied gave a vivid presentation
about Echocardiography and other Imaging Modalities in Pulmonary
Hypertension, the Algorithm Approach. It may be a bit complicated but Dr.
Saied discussed it so well for everyone to fully understand.
Dr. Hussam Sakkijha extended the coverage of his topic by
additionally discussing the Group 1 Pulmonary Hypertension: Diagnosis and
Treatment.
The supplementation of medical theories went on as Dr. Ali Ali
Abdullah Al Akhfash, PSCCQ’s Consultant of Pediatric Interventional
Cardiology, explained Pulmonary Hypertension in the Pediatric Age
Group.
More so, the Consultant of Pulmonary Medicine at King Fah’d
Specialist Hospital in Buraidah, Dr. Bader Sala Al Harbi, discussed the Group
3 Pulmonary Hypertension: Associated Lung Disease.
Undoubtedly, the event turned into a huge success. And Dr.
Mohammed Saied, the Program Director of Regional Pulmonary Hypertension was
overwhelmed with the outcome and active participation of the guests. He
deeply extended his sincere gratitude and warm appreciation to everyone
behind this successful activity and he was looking forward to a similar event
in the years to come.
