In behalf of His Royal Highness, the Governor of Qassim Region Dr. Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud Al Saud, the Deputy Governor of Qassim Region, Prince Fahad Bin Turki Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud attended the opening ceremony of the 8^th Innovation in Cardiac Care Symposium under the theme of “Exploring Innovation and Latest Advancement in Cardiac Care” held last Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Movenpick Hotel in Buraidah. 

In his opening remarks, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mesned PSCCQ’s Center Director said that the center has been prompt and active in holding this kind of conference annually as an integral part of the strategic training plan for the administration which aims to enhance and develop the skills of health practitioners and more importantly to teach and train them on how to deal with emergencies using the latest developments in scientific research based on evidence. He pointed out that for this year; they have invited many speakers specializing in the field of cardiac care from within and outside the Kingdom in order for the participants to fully benefit from this experience.

The opening ceremony was highlighted with a brief visual presentation introducing the health services provided and offered by PSCCQ.

During the opening ceremony, there was a recognition given to the graduates of the three following programs that were conducted in PSCCQ namely the Saudi Adult Cardiology Fellowship Program, Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program and Saudi Cardiac Nursing Diploma Program. It is worth mentioning, that all of these 3 programs were conducted by PSCCQ and approved by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties.

On the other hand, the event was also graced with the presence of the Chief Executive Officer Al Qassim Health Cluster, Dr. Sultan Saud Al Shaya, together with the health leaders of the region.
