In response to the invitation of
the management of the Saudi Telecommunications Department, the Prince Sultan Cardiac
Center Qassim conducted its 53rd awareness campaign at the STC Headquarters
in Buraidah. This is also in line with the celebration of the World Diabetes
Day.
The campaign initially kicked off
with the launching of the said program. As
the event proper started, the medical team from the center took the blood
pressure, blood sugar, weight and height measurements. Moreover, participants
were given lectures on proper nutrition, benefits of regular exercise, disadvantages
of obesity and even training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). To
further instill the essential content of the campaign, the medical team also
distributed brochures.
On the other hand, the
Director of Saudi Telecom Communications, Dr. Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Nasser warmly
welcomed and sincerely expressed his appreciation to PSCCQ's Center Director
Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulazis Al Mesned and his team for unselfishly sparing
their time and efforts to participate in the campaign. He also conveyed his
gratitude to the PSCCQ team for reaching out to them in raising the awareness
of their department's staff with regards to early detection of
diseases.
The activity ended with the
distribution of Certificates of Thanks and Appreciation to the whole team
behind the success of the said campaign, in recognition of their valuable and
effective contribution. This was handed over by Dr. Mohammed Sulaiman
Al-Nasser with the presence of Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulazis Al Mesned along with
Mr. Abdullah Al-Fouzan, PSCCQ’s Assistant Director for Financial and Administration.
The overwhelming success of the
said campaign is an indication that PSCCQ is doing its best to serve, inform,
and educate the people in the best way they can.
